Get It Right: Reconciliation Before the Altar💜💜💜

Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother and then come and offer your gift." —Matthew 5:23-24 (NKJV)

Today’s devotional is going to challenge us. It may even make some of us uncomfortable. But let’s be real—we need to get this right! It’s time to stop just getting by. We need to take a hard look in the mirror and ask ourselves: Are we truly displaying the heart of God?

Worship is more than a song or lifting our hands—it’s about the posture of our hearts before God. Jesus makes it clear in Matthew 5:23-26 that reconciliation is not optional; it’s essential. We often hold onto offense, bitterness, and past wounds. Sometimes, we feel justified in our anger. But Jesus…

Discover for Yourself💜✝️💜✝️

"Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!" — Psalm 34:8 (ESV)

There is an old saying that "the proof is in the pudding," meaning that something's true value or quality can only be confirmed by experiencing it firsthand. This is exactly what God invites us to do—He calls us to put His goodness to the test, to step into a relationship with Him, and to discover for ourselves just how faithful, loving, and kind He truly is.

The phrase "taste and see" in Psalm 34:8 emphasizes a sensory experience of God. The word sensory refers to anything that involves our senses—touch, taste, sight, smell, and hearing. God doesn’t want us to just hear about His goodness from others or read about it in Scripture; He wants us to experience it personally in our lives.

  • We taste God's goodness when we receive His provision and grace.

  • We…

One Step Is Enough for Me💜💜💜

"I've commanded you to be strong and brave. Don't ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the Lord your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go."-Joshua 1:9 (CEV)"

God’s call to courage is never about our strength—it’s about trusting His presence. When Joshua stood on the edge of the Promised Land, he didn’t have all the answers. He didn’t know exactly how things would unfold. But God didn’t ask him to see the whole path—just to take the next step in faith.

Often, we hesitate to move forward because we want certainty. We want to see the full picture before we step out. But God’s promise is simple: “I will be there to help you wherever you go.” That means we don’t have to be strong in ourselves; we just need to trust in Him.

If today feels uncertain, remember—one step is enough. You don’t have to have…

The Blessing of Bold Obedience💜💜💜💜

"So, God was good to the midwives, and the Israelites continued to multiply, growing more and more powerful. And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own." Exodus 1:20-21 (NLT)

In Exodus 1, Pharaoh, fearing the rapid growth of the Israelites, ordered the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah, to kill all newborn Hebrew boys. However, these women feared God more than they feared Pharaoh. For them, the choice was clear—they could obey an earthly king or remain faithful to the King of Kings. They chose obedience to God, refusing to take innocent lives.

When we fear God more than we fear people, our path becomes clear. Obedience to God is the foundation for His favor. When we trust Him completely, He moves on our behalf. Scripture tells us that God rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). To seek means to pursue, search for, or…

SOS Devotional: God’s Purpose in Our Pain💜💜💜

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." – Genesis 50:20 (NIV)

Life often brings seasons of harm, where trials, disappointments, and betrayals seem to overwhelm us. In those moments, it may feel like chaos is winning. Joseph understood this better than most. Betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned—he had every reason to feel abandoned. Yet, through it all, God was at work. What others meant for harm; God can use for good.

After many years of suffering.  When Joseph finally stood before his brothers, the ones who had wronged him, he didn’t seek revenge. Instead, he recognized God's sovereign hand. Listen to what Joseph said to them. Don’t be afraid: for am I in the place of God?  The pain we endure is not without purpose. Just as Joseph’s suffering…

Sister of Strength Devotional "He Loved You Enough"💜

"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him." — 1 John 3:1 (NKJV)

The Apostle John invites us to pause and reflect: "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us." This is not a casual statement but a call to marvel at the extraordinary love God has lavished upon us. It's a love that is unearned, unconditional, and incomparable- a love that chose us, redeemed us, and calls us His own. This divine love defines our identity and fuels our strength.

Through this magnificent love, we are not merely labeled as God's children; we are His children. This identity is profound and transformative. As His daughters, we share in His nature and are heirs to His promises. This relationship empowers us to face…

SOS Devotional: A Love Letter from God – “Quiet Love”💜

“The LORD your God is in your midst, A Warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with joy; He will be quiet in His love [making no mention of your past sins], He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.” — Zephaniah 3:17 (AMP)

Sister, do you know that you are not just seen by God, but celebrated by Him? So often, we carry the weight of our past, our failures, and our struggles, wondering if we are enough. But Zephaniah 3:17 reminds us of a powerful truth—God is not just near; He is fighting for you!

He is your warrior, strong and mighty, ready to rescue you from fear, doubt, and anything that seeks to weigh you down. No matter what you have faced, He does not define you by your past. Instead, He embraces you with quiet love—a love that is steady, unwavering, and constant.

Quiet…

SOS Devotional: Love Like This💜💜💜

"For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:6-8 (ESV)

Love Like This

We’ve all experienced different kinds of love—family love, friendship love, even romantic love. But have you ever encountered a love so deep, so selfless, so unconditional that it left you in awe? That’s the love of Jesus.

Paul reminds us in Romans 5:6-8 that Christ didn’t wait for us to be worthy—He loved us when we were at our worst. Glory!!! While we were still weak, still broken, still lost, He gave His life for us. Who loves like this? Only Jesus.

A Love Beyond Comparison

The world teaches us that…

Sister of Strength Devotional: The Way He Loves💜💜💜💜

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." — John 3:16 (KJB)

Sister, you are loved beyond measure! The world often tries to convince us that love must be earned—but God’s love is freely given. John 3:16 reveals the greatest act of love ever displayed: God gave His only Son so we could have eternal life. His love isn’t based on our performance, appearance, or status. It is unconditional, unchanging, and everlasting.

As a woman of strength, you wear many hats and pour yourself out daily. But in the midst of all you do, never forget that you are deeply cherished and so loved by your Heavenly Father. The NET version of John 3:16 beautifully expresses this verse:

"For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so…
